Steven Diamond, President
Steven Diamond, PE, CEng, MI StructE. was trained as a
structural engineer in Scotland. He is also a Professional Engineer registered
in 5 US states. He worked for eight years in the UK working on a range of large
structural projects. He moved to Bermuda to work for a consulting engineering
firm. As one of the few qualified structural engineer on the island he was kept
very busy working on Hospital wings, Airport extensions and many multi story
steel buildings. After a year of vacation traveling around the world Steven
landed on the shores of the USA. Moving west he spent 9 months in Portland,
Oregon working for a small consulting engineering firm. He then moved north to
Seattle to work in the tower industry with Tower Engineering Consultants, which
later became SpectraSite. Steven was rapidly promoted to Director of Operations
and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Lynnwood Engineering
office. As President of NWTE he is involved with every project from climbing the
towers to writing the checks. Steven lives in Millcreek, WA with his wife Diana,
daughter Cassie, son Scott and his dogs. When not working Steve enjoys kayaking,
stand-up paddle boarding and snowboarding.
Kirk Wieber,
Engineer

Kirk Wieber, was born in Spokane, Washington. He attended
Spokane Falls Community College for his pre-engineering education, and graduated
from Gonzaga University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
(Go Zags!). At Gonzaga Kirk was an active member of the American Society of
Civil Engineering (ASCE) student chapter where he designed, built, and raced
concrete canoes for the regional ASCE competitions. Throughout his academic
process he worked as a drafter/surveyor/designer for a small civil engineering
firm. Kirk has performed computerized structural analysis, site surveys and
tower inspections on some of the tallest structures in the world (up to 1989
feet). At NWTE Kirk has performed structural analyses on existing Broadcast and
Telecommunications towers. Kirk has also performed design and drafted site
construction drawings for tower modification upgrade packages. He is a competent
climber, having completed courses in fall protection & rescue as well as RF
safety awareness. Kirk has climbed and performed conditional assessment tower
audits on over 1000 towers. When not at work Kirk likes to bike, hike, cook,
explore mycology, and chase after his adorable children.
Harvey Carlisle,
Structural Engineer
Harvey Carlisle, SE, graduated from Brigham Young University
(Provo, UT) in 1992 with bachelors and masters degrees in Civil Engineering.
Harvey began work at the Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory (now the Naval
Facilities Engineering Service Center) in Port Hueneme, California where he
performed research on offshore construction methods. After moving to
Springfield, Oregon in 1994 Harvey performed structural analysis and design as
well as condition assessments of existing structures while at Evergreen
Engineering. In 2000, he began performing condition assessments and structural
analyses and designing structural modifications for existing broadcast and
telecommunications towers while at Tower Engineering Consultants and
SpectraSite. Since 2002, he has been with NWTE and has helped evaluate over
1,500 towers. He has been on site and climbed many of those towers himself.
